Vacation on three continents: Cruises from Cyprus

As the easternmost island in the Mediterranean, it is a natural departure for exploring the surrounding countries. The Holy Land and the Greek islands are just short hops away that you won’t want to miss if you ‘re in this part of the world.

Travel is on board large and comfortable cruise ships offering full board accommodation at very reasonable prices including entertainment. This way you won’t have to book hotels in the various ports of call. Trips last typically from two-to-five days leaving in the afternoon to early evening with travel taking place at night while you sleep.

Cyprus: Port of history and civilization

Most international cruise ships sailing the region include Cyprus on their itineraries, calling at Lemesos (Limassol), Larnaka and Pafos ports. With just a few short hours in Cyprus you will be delighted to know how many of the main places of interest are within easy reach from the ports.

The most impressive archaeological and historical sites, such as the ancient Greco-Roman theatre Kourion and the medieval Crusader fortress of Kolossi, are often the most accessible from Lemesos Port. Head north from Lemesos and you will find yourself in the foothills of the pine-forested Troodos mountains.

Pafos on the western coast has so many historical sites to explore, such as the ancient Roman mosaics and the Tombs of the Kings.

Varied and interesting excursions can also be organized from the Laranaca Port. These include the medieval village of Lefkara, the capital Lefkosia (Nicosia) and the sights around Larnaka.
